Step-by-Step Guide for Joining SoftChalk Connect

1. Go to www.softchalkconnect.com
2. Click “Join Now” in the upper right hand corner
3. Enter account information
4. Agree to terms of use policies
5. Click “Join Now!”

Step-by-Step Guide for Creating Polls

1. Log into www.softchalkconnect.com
2. Click on “My Content”
3. Click on “My Polls”
4. Next, click on “Create a Poll”
5. Enter your Poll information and style
6. Click Submit

Step-by-Step Guide for Creating Ratings

1. Log into www.softchalkconnect.com
2. Click on “My Content”
3. Click on “My Ratings”
4. Next, click on “Create a Rating”
5. Enter your Rating information and style
6. Click Submit

*Note: When entering the Title information, enter what you would like your rating question or statement to be.

Step-by-Step Guide for Embedding Activities, Polls, and Ratings into lessons

1. Select the activity, poll, or rating you wish to embed in your lesson.
2. Click “Get Embed Code”
3. Copy the embed code using either “ctrl” and “c” (apple key and “c” for Mac users) or right clicking and selecting “copy”
4. In your SoftChalk lesson, select where you would like to have the activity
5. Click “Insert” and then “Widget”
6. Paste your code in the appropriate box
7. Enter a title and a description for ADA compliance
8. Click OK
9. It will show up as a Widget Placeholder but will preview as the activity, rating, or poll.
